Montford Park Players

Facility Rental Fee Schedule – 2023

The Montford Park Players is pleased to make our facility available to organizations and groups who would like to be able to perform in or utilize an outdoor facility seating up to 1,500 audience members.

We have set a fee schedule to allow us to perform needed maintenance on the facility, and to keep our staff fully employed.

FOR NONPROFITS [501 (c)(3) and (c)(4)]:

Ticketed Events (for which facility services [lights, sound, tables, restrooms, etc.] are required by the renter):

  • 5% of gate receipts, with a minimum of $500.00 per event
  • $200.00 per rehearsal day (6-hour maximum)
  • In addition, the facility will bill to the renter the services of its Facility Director (who is required to be on the premises for each rental) at $20.00 per hour, all of which goes to the Facility Director.
  • If the use of facility-owned sound and/or lighting systems are required by the renter, the facility will require that the renter secure the services of the facility’s sound and/or lighting engineer or designer at fees to be set by those individuals
  • If the event uses copyrighted music, the facility will bill and remit to Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) the appropriate fee as determined by BMI. Montford Park Players holds a BMI license, and abides by all regulations established by BMI

Donation-based Events (for which facility services [lights, sound, tables, restrooms, etc.] are required by the renter):

  • $500.00 per event
  • $200.00 per rehearsal day (6-hour maximum)
  • In addition, the facility will bill to the renter the services of its Facility Director (who is required to be on the premises for each rental) at $20.00 per hour, all of which goes to the Facility Director.
  • If the use of facility-owned sound and/or lighting systems are required by the renter, the facility will require that the renter secure the services of the facility’s sound and/or lighting engineers or designers at fees to be set by those individuals
  • If the event uses copyrighted music, the facility will bill and remit to Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) the appropriate fee as determined by BMI.  Montford Park Players holds a BMI license, and abides by all regulations established by BMI

Small Events (for which the use of sound, lights, restrooms or other facility-provided equipment are not required):

  • Fee negotiable, requested donation, or even free, depending on the scope of work involved and the financial condition of the nonprofit renter.

For all events listed above: The facility holds a permanent ABC license for beer and wine. In consideration of the reduced rental rates as listed above, the facility reserves for itself the sole right to sell beer and wine at any or all events where the Executive Director determines, in his sole discretion, that it would be practicable. All proceeds from the sale of beer and wine will be retained by the facility.

The renter agrees to rent the facility in its “as is” condition. Minor adjustments to the existing set may be made after consultation with and approval by the Executive Director.

WEDDINGS AND RECEPTIONS:

  • Flat Fee of $500.00 for the entire day – includes use of tables, tents, chairs and up to 6 hours rehearsal time on a previous day;
  • In addition, the facility will bill the services of its Facility Director (who is required to be on the premises for each rental) at $20.00 per hour, all of which goes to the Facility Director.

FOR COMMERCIAL EVENTS:

Currently, due to the City’s Noise Ordinance and zoning issues, commercial (for profit) events are not allowed at the amphitheatre.
