Directors Note:
What album would you take with you on a deserted island? That is the question that kept floating around my head when I was thinking about what I wanted to do with The Tempest. Music always plays a huge part in my productions but when you’re trapped on an island, the options are limited. So, what album? The Tempest requires music that’s Huge, Epic, Flashy. And what’s more epic than the Voice of the North, Celine Dion! Choosing Celine as the underscore for The Tempest made this show take off in a whole new direction!
I hope you enjoy our take on this play. This play is about Revenge, Family, Power, Love and above all else, Forgiveness. It may be one of the hardest things for a human to do. To forgive. These days, it seems more and more difficult.  But it can be done. Let Prospero, Miranda, a Royal Family, a couple of Fools, and Island spirits show you what freedom comes with forgiveness. Enjoy the show. – Dwight Chiles
